Hello to all!

Hi, my name is Adam, and as you may have guessed I am an apprentice with the Local 26. There are a few things I would like to say to new apprentices; First, this is not an easy trade, and if it were then anyone could doing it. Second, I'm going into my third year of the apprenticeship and I love it, the education and money are very worth while. When I first started in the trade as a summer helper, I was sent to a contractor who had me digging ditches for weeks on end by hand. When I started as a first year apprentice, I did more electrical oriented work, such as pulling MC and wiring devices. Then before I transferred, I was digging ditches again. Now I'm currently working in a data center, where the bulk of my work consists of working with a great Journeyman, who teaches me something new everyday. I've learned from him how to correctly bend conduit, and work on switch gear. It all depends on who you get to work with, and what you'll be working on that makes your experience in this trade worth while. Until the next time, be safe and work smart.
